Я3VERSE - FREE Poetry Workshops for teenagers with NEW tutor Edward DennistonDo you want to learn to write poetry?Do you want to improve your poetry writing skills?Do you want to have FUN?Kilkenny County Council Arts Office in partnership with the Library Service have organised a six week poetry workshop at Kilkenny Arts Office, No. 5 Dean Street. As part of the workshops you will be introduced to the Rhyme Rag, an online resource produced by the Arts Office for young people to get their poetry seen, critiqued, published and professionally illustrated. Thus giving young people a direct outlet for the new work they produce. The Я3VERSE workshop will commence on Tuesday November 3rd from 4.30pm - 6.30pm at the Arts Office, No. 5 Dean Street Kilkenny, and run until Tuesday December 8th . These workshops will be facillitated by writer Edward Denniston. Edward is a poet and retired English and Drama teacher. He is particularly interested in using space and the natural environment as a starting point for both the writing of poems and devising of dramatic situations. Attending the workshops will give participants the opportunity to work with this highly experienced tutor who is enthused by the opportunity to work in Kilkenny on this programme. The workshop will facilitate both absolute beginners and those who have already written poetry. Activities will be structured to attend to the particular group and the individual needs within that. This is a fantastic opportunity to discover the wonder of creative writing and poetry.
