Housing Special Projects

The following special projects are assisted by Kilkenny County Council's Housing Department:

The Women's Refuge Centre

The Construction of the six unit Kilkenny Women's Refuge Centre was completed in 2001. The Refuge Centre provides emergency accommodation and support for women and children who are victims of violence in the home. There is currently a support and information service for women experiencing domestic abuse.Kilkenny Women's Refuge can be contacted at 056-71404 - Helpline 1850 42 42 44.

The Good Shepherd Centre

The Good Shepherd Centre provides accommodation for homeless men. The centre caters for up to 47 males each night.
