Expressions of interest from Qualified Contractors for Works in 2011
Kilkenny County Council
Housing Section
Expressions of interest from Qualified Contractors for Works in 2011 on the following schemes:
- The Housing Adaptation Grant Scheme for People with a Disability
- The Mobility Aids Housing Grant Scheme
- The Housing Aid for Older People Grant Scheme
The Housing Section Kilkenny County Council intends to compile a list of suitably qualified and experienced contractors who are prepared to carry out work under the three schemes named above. In most cases, the contractor would be employed direct by those receiving grant aid (i.e. not by Kilkenny County Council). Please note that being on the list does not guarantee work.
The work covered under the schemes is very varied, e.g. conversion of bathrooms, installing central heating, repairing/replacing roofs, replacing windows and doors, internal repairs, the building of extensions, etc. The houses would normally be occupied while the work is going on. Access may be difficult. Grants are not paid until the work is completed and will be paid to those receiving the grant.
Any contractor who wishes to be included on the list should apply in writing, stating the type of work he or she would be interested in, giving details of his or her qualifications and experience and enclosing a copy of his or her current C2 certificate/tax clearance certificate from the Revenue Commissioners and a Copy of Current Insurances. The contractor should also state clearly which area or areas of the county he or she would be prepared to work in. Those contractors who have submitted their details previously should re-apply.
Please submit your application to:
